With Chicago long taking a back seat to New York’s, LA’s, and Paris’s fashion week, the City of Chicago focuses on drawing attention to fashion leaders right here in the Windy City. Three of the premier featured events of Fashion Focus Week have teamed up to bring you the Chicago Fashion Pass. Why spend $50-$200 to go to ONE featured event when you can go to THREE for $100?

Each of the events has their own flare and you can expect each night to be completely different. From producers to charity benefactor to fashion line-up and entertainment, no two events are the same. Fashion Focus Chicago 2012 returns October 15-21 for its eighth year. The week-long celebration of  the thriving fashion industry showcases some of Chicago’s top designers, features runway shows in Millennium Park and fashion events at various locations around the city. This includes a variety of free and affordable industry happenings, shopping and designer events. The theme this year for Fashion Focus Chicago is “You saw it on the runway, now buy it!”

Night at the Museum

 


October 15, 2012 from 7PM to 11PM

Butterflies, ladybugs, and bees! A night to celebrate fashion, nature, and all things amazing!  General Admission Ticket includes: cocktails, appetizers, desserts, fashion show, and all access to the Nature Museum. VIP Ticket includes: Private reception from 6-730PM, 1-year Nature Museum membership, and a $100 Facial at Leah Chavie Skin Care Boutique! Live music in the beautiful surroundings of the museum await you along with FASHION WARS on the runway where designers will be judged and awarded!

Fashion Follows Interiors

 

 

October 16, 2012 from 6PM to 11PM

Twenty selected designers will create a Mad Men inspired garment from interior design materials in participation with Fashion Focus Chicago’s 8th Annual.

This much anticipated event of 400+ will be raising money and student scholarships for the Columbia School of Arts and the National Education Hospitality Design Industry (NEWH). Through a deconstructed runway, 20 contests will use interior design products from the great Chicago Merchandise Mart to create a 1960′s inspired garment. These garments will be debuted the night of the event while you enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the sounds of Elisa Hunt (songs of Ella Fitzgerald) and a guest DJ with elegant 60′s interpretation at the historic Blackstone Hotel ballroom and gallery.

As a Senior Interior Designer and Manager of Hospitality projects for over ten years, Christy Collins of Collins Designs & Co. look to many outlets of inspiration, but has always said: “Interiors’ follow fashion”, and for one night only they plan on reversing that in an effort to support and inspire the Fashion Industry during Chicago Fashion Focus week. There will be multiple designers participating in this event.

October 20, 2012 from 7PM to 12AM

The evening stroll for the populace to see and be seen. Guests will experience an evening of Masquerade, indulge in a variety of delicate food and drink tastings. An Exquisite Fashion Presentation showcasing some of Chicago’s own fashion & jewelry designers. Couture Masks & corsets, live music With Johnny Bandolero and dancing. MASQUERADE AFFAIR Ticket Includes:  2 hour Open Bar hosted by Ketel One Vodka & Don Julio, Food station hosted by Via Carducci, Pastry Bar hosted by Alliance Bakery, Candy Bar hosted by Das Foods and Gift Bag sponsored by Moroccanoil
